I specialize in event, stock and travel photography. I have an extensive collection of wine and food related photos and I'll do bottle photography for wine marketing materials in exchange for wine. I am available for assignments and special events. Please contact me for my rates or more information. You can just click on the link at the bottom of this page that says, Contact.

All photos in the galleries may be purchased for both personal and commercial use and are priced accordingly. The large watermark across the center of displayed photos will not appear in the purchased image. All prints will have a printmark—my name printed in the bottom right corner of the photo—on the product. Photo downloads are available with and without a printmark. If you choose a printmarked version, you will receive a 50% discount for allowing my name to be displayed in use. The printmark cannot be cropped from the picture and must remain on the photo when in use in order to comply with the license.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites : The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) lists 936 places considered to be of significant cultural or natural heritage. Here are a few of those places I have visited.

Panoramas : Panoramic photos from all over the world. Some panoramas also have a link to a QuickTime Virtual Reality (QTVR) version. These are often quite large and take several minutes to download, but the unique perspective of seeing from the photographers point of view is worth the time. It's like being there yourself. You will also need to download the QuickTime plugin from Apple to view it. Once downloaded, you can use your mouse to click and drag in any direction to view the entire image. You can also use keyboard cursor keys to scroll.

White Sands National Monument : Almost as incredible as Carlsbad Caverns, the fine white sands reminded me of snow. With the high winds that day, it felt like it could have been snow. We're still finding the sand in all sorts of things we wore that day.

White Sands Missile Park : Located just inside the gate of the White Sands Missile Range is this fine monument to weapons of mass destruction and man's preoccupation with destroying themselves. Oh boy, what fun!

Petroglyph National Monument : I couldn't really get excited about visiting this place. The views were interesting, but the location in the middle of a suburb was a little disconcerting. The fact that half the petroglyphs looked like they were chipped off or defaced was also a little disheartening.

Zulu Nyala : This gallery contains scenery and wildlife at Zulu Nyala Lodge and Game Reserve in South Africa. Zulu Nyala is located on the rolling hills of Zululand on the Eastern Cape, situated southeast of Swaziland about 150 kilometers inland from the coast of the Indian Ocean. (GPS: -27.90078, 32.2723) They have a couple of luxury lodges and a tented safari camp, but don't let the term, "tented", give you the wrong idea. These are really permanent structures; luxury huts with canvas roofs. The game drives seem to cater to photographers since they try to schedule the drives around sunrise and sunset during the golden hours. Since the light at these times isn't always sufficient for many point and shoot cameras and even some SLRs with kit lenses, capturing photos of wildlife could be challenging. The ranger guides have a lot of experience tracking the animals and we had plenty of opportunities to get up-close and personal with the animals, as you can probably see from these photos.

The Ancient City of Petra : Petra is a place that Sheri wanted to visit ever since seeing it in the movies. In many ways, it’s almost more impressive than the tombs in Egypt. It’s really the main reason we came to Jordan and I’m glad we did. All that other stuff we did in Jordan was my idea though.

Felucca Sail on the Nile : After missing out on the sunset sail the previous night with our newfound friends, Michael and Sarah, we haggled with someone down at the Nile for a 2 hour sunset sail. For 70 £E, it was the most relaxing time we had in Luxor. No sales pitch, no questions, no hassle. I tipped them generously, but realized later that I forgot to tell them why.

Egyptian Wedding : Sheri and I were invited to a wedding reception by Ahmed, a waiter we befriended at one of the local restaurants in Luxor, Egypt. It was great fun to see everyone celebrating in the streets. It was difficult capturing all the excitement in a photo without the extra loud music, subtle smells and constant movement all around.

Giza Plateau : The Pyramids and Great Sphinx of Giza are located on a plateau just outside of the Giza suburbs west of Cairo. As a matter of fact, you can see the suburbs if you just turn around and look the other direction. The Great Pyramids are best viewed from afar. Once you get close, their size is impressive, but the heat, crowds and tourist traps make for an less than comfortable experience. The constant begging for "baksheesh" or tips is annoying. Of all the places we visited, this was the place we had to see, but least enjoyable.

China : These aren't your typical photos of China, but then, I didn't go to the typical tourist sites either. One of the advantages of having family who are local to the area is visiting places that most people rarely see and eating things that aren't on the tourist menus.
